| |  "Yalumba The Virgilius Eden Valley Viognier 2006 ...marks a departure in style. Complex winemaking is suppressing the rich fruit at present. Huon and Ryan thought it showed "matchstick and savoury characters upfront, with nice sweet fruit behind. Mineral threads help the sensitive structure. Crisp, clean and balanced on the finish. I thought the savoury flavours overdone now but that the wine will clearly develop beyond these over the next year or two. An intriguing antithesis."
