92 points - "Yalumba's coopers age American oak for eight years before building the small octaves in which this selection of old-vine shiraz matures. The long curing process diminishes any immediate impression of oak, while seeming to enhance the tannic integration of the wine. The bosky black cherry flavours are sweet and ripe, girded by dark tannins that modulate the fruit power and leave a sense of elegance. A fine performance in '03, suited to several years of age."
