After such a performance, no wonder I believe this is the best quaffing red of the past five years. The 2008 and 2005 were both Quaff Wine of the Year, the current vintage was rated number 3 in the Top 20 wines of Quaff 2011 (out in Oct 2010), and it has achieved Quaff's top rating of Bloody Good in each of the last five editions of the book. I'm immediately attracted to the wonderful floral aromatics of the 2009 'Y Series' Shiraz Viognier. This is delightful current drinking.
