| | Yalumba was very proud to be included on the itinerary for audience members of Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure and it was a pleasure to host the group. Twelve visitors from throughout the USA visited the winery late last year, enjoying a tour of the cooperage and museum cellar and a special tasting of Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier, Yalumba The Virgilius Viognier, Yalumba The Signature and Yalumba FDR1A with Yalumba Proprietor Robert Hill Smith and Chief Winemaker Louisa Rose. The group came to the Barossa from Kangaroo Island and spent one night in the region. “The wildlife in Kangaroo Island is amazing. The wine in Barossa, especially at Yalumba, was delicious. Maggie Beer's farm and the local farmer's market were excellent,” said one audience member. “The beauty of the land; the diligence of the people to do the right things by the land, for their country and heirs. The Barossa, Yalumba, Kangaroo Island, Southern Ocean Lodge, LOVED the fact that the foods came from 20 miles - everything was so respectful regarding the environment and sustainability,” another commented.
