you’re looking for a reliable bottle of wine and you’re well off the
beaten track, look for Yalumba. It’s available from one end of the
country to the other and the Yalumba name is the nearest thing you’ll
get to a guarantee of quality in the wine business. The Y Series often
features in this column and Riesling is always a high point, especially
given its remarkably low price. The 2010 opens with delicate floral,
lime and gentle spice fragrances that are very inviting. It tastes
intense and combines delicious freshness with enough mid-palate richness
to sustain it. Great value." Ageing? Drink over four years. Food ideas: Sushi, Vietnamese Salads
