Winter rains promised a good start to the 04/05 growing season. A mild spring and summer provided an even and long ripening period, resulting in red wines with excellent fruit flavour and richness.

Yalumba Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 is a rich and vibrant wine of exceptional varietal flavour and generous fruit. Full depth purple red in colour, it has bright and lively aromas of violets, spices, cherries and eucalypts which are supported by subtle hints of mocha chocolate. A wine of structure, yet soft and supple with a generously textured mid palate.
