The grapes for the Y Series Shiraz have been sourced from our excellent shiraz vineyard resources within the Barossa and Eden Valleys, South Australia. The Barossa is world renowned as one of the best spots on the planet to grow this distinguished grape variety.

The grapes were fermented in static potters and rotary fermenters. Warm temperatures at the onset of fermentation and also 3-5 days post ferment maceration has helped extract soft fleshy tannins and build wine structure.

This rich and vibrant shiraz again confirms that the Y Series wines provide excellent varietal flavour and fruit generosity. This shiraz offers dark plum, raspberry and liquorice on the nose. A supple palate with sweet plums, soft, integrated tannins, and a touch of boiled sweet and leathery complexity, lead to a long but savoury finish.
