The grapes for the Y Series Shiraz have been sourced from our excellent Shiraz Vineyard resources within the regions of Virginia and the Barossa. These are renowned regions for growing Shiraz.
The grapes were fermented in static potters and rotary fermenters. Warm temperatures at the onset of fermentation and also 3-5 days post ferment maceration has helped extract soft fleshy tannins and build wine structure.
Displaying bright red crimson hues, the Y Series Shiraz is a medium bodied wine that oozes “Shirazness”. It has aromas of raspberries, violets and Indian spices. The palate has vibrant red fruits, supple but firm tannins and a fine medium-bodied structure.
