A rich and moreish Barossa Shiraz with unique provenance, made in a modern style with fruit flavours front and centre.
Tasting Note Deep, inky crimson with a vibrant purple rim. Aromas of blackberry and ripe plums layered with brown spices including clove and nutmeg. Hints of blackcurrant and milk chocolate intertwine with notes of caramel and white pepper, adding depth and complexity. Rich and generous, the palate flows with bright, juicy fruit mirroring the nose, dark berries and plums wrapped in suede-like tannins lend a velvety texture. Soft acidity keeps the wine lively and balanced, leading to a long, plush finish.
Terroir Sourced from Barossa vineyards where the vines range from young (approximately 10 - 15 years old) to old (greater than 35 years). They are planted in a diverse range of sites and soils, including red brown earths, sandy loams and dark clay soils. These variations contribute to the great diversity of flavours.
Treatment Matured for 10 months in French and Hungarian hogsheads, 12% new oak.
