GoGo Lawns at Yalumba

It was all GoGo at Yalumba

A vision to bring Chin Chin’s GoGo bar to Yalumba’s Clocktower lawns was turned into reality last weekend as part of South Australia’s Tasting Australia 2022 culinary festival.

More than 2,000 people joined us over three days to enjoy a taste of the iconic Melbourne restaurant along with great Barossa wine and hospitality.

Struck with Chin Chin fever, we lit the winery from top to bottom in spectacular pink lighting and in true collab style, a custom light projection of the iconic bunny holding a wine glass.

We matched the vibrant lights with great sounds and the mixes by local DJs were all too tempting for guests who were out of their seats for a little boogie as the night went on.

Chin Chin served up a sensational menu of their best GoGo bar snacks for guests to enjoy, including Banh Mi, Chin Chin Crispy Wings, a Spanner Crab Sandwich and Butter Chicken.

All bites were pleasing matches for the wine list, with Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier and Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache certain go-to’s over the weekend.

Our guest artist in residence Arlon Hall kept us all entertained as he spent the three days painting a giant mural next to the lawns. What started on Friday as lots of yellow splashes of paint, turned into a stunning 30 metre canvas in his distinct colourful style. The final work will be displayed at SALA festival later in the year.

The excitement and atmosphere of the Yalumba x Chin Chin GoGo lawns was enjoyed by all – none more so than our family who was thrilled to welcome a crowd back to our grounds and showcase our 173 year young winery in a whole new light.
