The Octavius Barossa Old Vine Shiraz
Shiraz 2010- Vintage quality: Good rains in winter and spring lead into windy conditions that reduced crop levels. Grapes produced this vintage still managed to ripen to full flavour ripeness.
- Cellar guide: 15+++ Years
- Last tasted: September 2012, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
- Notes: Subtlety with complexity; this wine opens with brooding sweet dark fruits of plums, cherries, blueberries and anise that gradually evolve into the alluring spice of cloves, dark coffee and chocolate. A palate of elegance, yet with great depth and concentration. This is a very stylish wine, showing an amazing brightness and freshness combined with mouth-filling textures. Awards & Accolades: 2 Gold
