The Story of Wyndy’s Last Stand
Back in 1932, Wyndham “Wyndy” Hill-Smith, a keen cricketer, managed Yalumba’s business in Perth while also playing for both state and national cricket teams. One fateful day in October 1932, London’s Marylebone Cricket Club arrives in Perth for the Australian tour. Representing Australia in the XI were Don Bradman, Vic Richardson, Stan McCabe and batting at number six, Wyndham Hill-Smith.
