Illuminate with Yalumba

Adelaide will come alight once again this winter with the second iteration of Illuminate Adelaide. As the Premier Wine partner, we are excited to unite wine lovers with this immersive light festival, with Yalumba wines available at all associated events and bars during the festival.

From 7-31 July 2022, Illuminate Adelaide will bring the streets of Adelaide to light with an expanded program of experiences, installations, and performances.

The Yalumba Bar at Light Cycles on Frome Road (Ginkgo Gate) will be open every night from 5pm. The bar is a great meeting point for family and friends, or grab a bite to eat with a glass of wine before venturing into Illuminate’s iconic Light Cycles.

Wines at the bar will include crowd favourites from Samuel’s Collection, through to the latest release of The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz.

Back by popular demand, the runaway hit of Illuminate Adelaide 2021 returns to Adelaide Botanic Garden. This Australian-first production from celebrated Montreal studio Moment Factory once again transforms the lush greenery of the Adelaide Botanic Garden into an after-dark immersive experience connecting guests to the natural world like never before. After a sold out 2021 season, Light Creatures is back to take you behind the gates of Adelaide Zoo after dark! An evolving celebration of conservation, explore the historic precinct to encounter new up close and immersive experiences from lanterns to interactive performance, and even the newest Light Creature Cahaya – a larger-than-life glowing tiger as it prowls the zoo grounds. From Leonardo da Vinci to now – come on a journey from the Renaissance masterpieces to the mysteries of the universe. Using ground-breaking technologies of Artificial Intelligence and extraordinary projection techniques – The Istanbul-based visionaries Ouchhh Studio have collaborated with NASA and CERN, and now they’re heading exclusively to present an immersive work that has taken European audiences by storm. Illuminate Adelaide’s free, city-wide centrepiece returns with a new series of immersive installations, artworks and large-scale activations set to turn Adelaide’s most iconic streetscapes into a night-time playground of colour and sound. Rug up, hit the pavement and follow the light as Illuminate presents a new program of boundary-pushing local and international artists to reimagine the laneways, street-fronts and open spaces through our three key North, East and West precincts.

Returning to the SA stage for the first time in over a decade, the BRIT and Grammy Award-winning supergroup will bring their genre-hopping blend of hip hop, rock and dance to life with a 20-piece ensemble led by Albarn and an all-star army of collaborators.
