engineered for agility and not just sheer weight. This suits Octavius exceptionally well because this 2019 is a thunderously successful wine with the most detailed and resonant fruit I have tasted under this label.
19+/20 PTS, MATTHEW JUKES, OCTOBER 2024.
We have available Museum Releases of The Octavius, optimally aged in our cellar to ensure their proper maturity and quality, and to showcase our commitment to wines of pedigree and exceptional quality.
We also keep available a number of exclusive formats of the Octavius, including large bottle Magnums (1.5L), Jeroboams (3L) and Methuselahs (6L).
See below the full range available for the Octavius.
The Octavius was named after the unique 100-litre 'octave' barrels that are handcrafted on site in our Cooperage and made specially for this wine. The term 'octave' was coined by our early coopers to describe a barrel an eighth the size of a standard barrel.
